Word from the Brewer
AboutWe are a veteran owned and operated craft brewery, in Savannah Georgia, dedicated to honoring those that have put their lives at risk and their country and community first.
We will donate a portion of our revenues to assist charities that support Service. We will craft authentic American made beers for the curious and experienced consumer, focus on buying local whenever possible and in the same vein support the grassroots efforts of those giving back to those that have served. Our dedication to this cause is unique and our approach to craft beer is equally unique. While brewing our year round beers on a large scale we maintain a small batch Research and Development division to enable experimentation and innovation using locally available ingredients to connect our farmers and consumers with our beer and our mission.
Like a good soldier, the Ground Pounder Pale Ale is first and foremost loyal to its country: An American Pale Ale through and through. Our Pale Ale presents a good balance of malt and hops for a clean and pleasing drinking experience. Here you’ll find a mix of fruity, hoppy and malty aromas but with the bitterness tempered to accentuate the malt sweetness and character.
The Nautical Compass Rose has helped Mariners find their way for centuries. Our Compass Rose IPA honors those who have dedicated themselves to building the proud tradition of our navy. Like a ship charging across friendly waters, this American-style IPA balances a medium-bodied malt presence with a bitterness that does not overpower. With its hop forward taste and refreshing citrus and floral notes, this is a brew for the high seas.
“Rally Point” is a term used in military maneuvers to represent a place for troops to regroup. There’s no need for such formality here, soldier: Just grab some friends and gather ‘round this seasonal summer brew. With a sweet malt focus that bursts with crisp complexity, our Bohemian-style pilsner features fresh, earthy Czech Saaz hops to counter the hot, sunny days ahead.
This fall, Service Brewing Co. introduces its own devilish brew. Teufel Hunden is a traditional Oktoberfest-style Marzen lager, unfiltered with a deep copper hue, a toasted malt aroma and a clean, dry finish.
A sweet stout brewed with locally harvested May River oysters.
